On May 10, 2017 EXALO Drilling SA and GK PGNiG celebrated their 20th anniversary in Pakistan. In anniversary celebration took part: the President of the Management Board of PGNiG S.A. Piotr Woźniak, vice president of EXALO Drilling S.A. Henryk Młodawski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Islamabad Piotr Opaliński and Minister of Oil and Natural Resources of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
At the ceremony with the leadership of the Pakistani Branch of PGNiG, Exalo and Geophysics (companies belonging to the PGNiG Group) and local business partners, Minister S.K. Abbasi thanked for cooperation with the PGNiG Group, expressing his hope for further development. The celebration was accompanied by concert of famous Pakistani musician Arieba Azhar.
20 years ago, in June 1997 with the well Diaal-1 we have started Exalo history in Pakistan. It was 3800 m deep directional drilling. Now, the deepest EXALO borehole in Pakistan is Jhandial 1 - 5680 meters deep. Within 20 years we have completed over 300 km in total length of drilling for 17 contractors with very good safety and environmental records.
EXALO Drilling S.A. has two local branches in Pakistan - Karachi and Islamabad, employing more than 220 Pakistanis on 4 drilling rigs.
