President of the Management Board of Exalo Drilling S.A. Marcin Gawroński and Vice President Oliwer Koszowski, in the presence of Mayor of Koło Krzysztof Witkowski, signed an agreement with Miejskie Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej sp. z o.o., represented by President Przemysław Stasiak. Exalo will drill a vertical geothermal borehole Koło GT-2 with a final depth of about 3050 m. The well will be drilled with a Drillmec HH220 Rig 208. Drilling is planned to commence in February 2022.
It is the Investor's intention that the GT-2 borehole will operate in a two-hole system with the existing Koło GT-1 borehole. The site will be handed over in the next few days and preparatory works will commence, followed by drilling operations. The geothermal borehole will be a part of a geothermal heat plant under construction.
